Description
Baverstock House, formerly a police station, dates from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It is a two-storey timber-framed building with a jettied and plastered first floor, while the ground floor features painted brick facing, likely from the 18th century. The steep pantile roof has coped gable ends. On the first floor, there are two 18th century or early 19th century three-light wood mullion and transom casements. The ground floor has a similar but larger casement on the right with flush-panelled shutters, and on the left, there is a sash window with glazing bars and flush-panelled shutters. The central entrance has a segmental headed door opening with a studded door.
