Description

The Bull Inn, located at No 8 on Little Walsingham Common Place, is a building dating from the 16th century or earlier. It features a timber frame with an early 19th-century red brick front, while the right-hand end of the front is stuccoed. The building has a steep pantile roof with a hipped north end and brick dentil eaves, and it stands two storeys high. There are five windows, which are sashes with glazing bars. The right-hand side has a glazed door set in a moulded doorcase, and to the left is a round-headed doorway with a panelled door.

On the north end, facing Holt Road, the building is plastered and has a jettied first floor. There are late 19th-century sashes on each floor, and the ground floor features a very small stone single-light cusped window from the 15th or 16th century. The rear has a painted flint outshut. There is also a rear wing along Holt Road, which dates from the mid to late 19th century. This wing is made of flint with brick dressings and has metal frame multi-pane windows, some of which have gothic lights, along with a pantile roof and a plain carriageway. The Bull Inn is designated as Grade II* for its group value.
