Description

Nos 9 and 10 on Common Place are 16th century buildings with a timber frame, partially faced in flint and brick. The right side features exposed close-set studding with plastered panels on the first floor. They have a steep pantile roof with gabled ends and stand two storeys tall. The first floor includes three 17th century wood mullion and transom two-light casement windows with leaded panes. On the ground floor, there are two large late 19th century three-light wood mullion and transom windows, along with two glazed doors set in moulded doorcases. Brick chimney stacks are located at the center and south end of the buildings. They are listed as Grade II* for their group value.
