Description

Rowan's Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of flint with red brick detailing and has a red pantiled roof, standing at one and a half storeys. On the ground floor, there are two windows: one is a 2-light casement and the other is a 4-light casement, both with leaded panes from the 20th century. The 2-light window is set under a cambered arch, while the 4-light window features a brick drip mould. The cottage displays red brick diaper patterns, brick end quoins, a brick dentil cornice, and brick coped parapets, along with two end stacks that have been rebuilt. There are three dormers on the roof, each with 2-light leaded pane casements. The north end gable showcases a diaper pattern in brick and includes a small brick attic window.
