Description

Orchard House is a house dating to the 16th century, with alterations made later. The walls are a mix of pebbledash plaster on brick and flint, and the roof is covered in smut pantiles. The house is two storeys high and originally had three bays. The ground floor has two tripartite sash windows, with single glazing bars, and the first floor has three sash windows, also with single glazing bars. A 20th-century lean-to porch has been added. The north side has kneeler coped parapets and end stacks made of moulded brick from the 17th century. The north gable has a plinth and four rectangular windows with brick surrounds and hood moulds, which have been filled in. Brick quoins and diapering are visible on the gable. A projecting wing extends from the line of the north gable, featuring two storeys and windows similar to those on the main house.
