Description

8-10 Market Place is a Grade II listed building located on the south side of the market square, with its main elevation facing north. This three-storey structure features a red brick front, adorned with three sash windows that include glazing bars on both the first and second floors. The second-floor windows are designed with a three over six configuration. The right-hand window on the first floor has been reduced in height and is missing its lower glazing bars, while the two left-hand windows at the same level are six over six sashes. All windows are topped with gauged flat arches. The ground floor consists of three shop fronts that were added after the Second World War. The building is part of a group that includes Nos 7 to 11 Market Place, which are consecutive.
