Description
This is a late 18th-century barn located 60 meters north-west of Ikens Farmhouse. It is constructed of brick and features a thatched roof. The south side of the barn is symmetrical, with two full-height double doors flanked by flat buttresses, which are partly rendered. There is a central two-light casement window beneath a relieving arch. The gabled roof has similar windows on the right and left bays, although these are now obscured by later outbuildings. The gable heads show tumbling. At the rear, there are two outshuts and blocked end bay windows. The roof structure includes tie beams on arched braces and wall posts, with two tiers of taper-tenoned butt purlins, collars, and straight windbracing over the doors.
