Description

This is a wall, likely part of the entrance to the stable block that served Old Beeston Hall, built around 1780. The stables are now demolished. The wall is constructed of flint with brick dressings. It features a central arch with a re-used medieval head stop as the keystone, flanked by brick pilasters, which are also repeated at both the east and west ends of the wall. There is a blind arched window between the pilasters on each side. Beyond the outer pilasters, there are arched pedestrian entrances, with the one on the east now blocked. The wall is topped with a crenellated parapet.
