Description
Ikens Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed of brick with a thatched roof. It stands two storeys high and features an irregular bay system. The entrance is a panelled door located to the left of centre, sheltered by a plain timber porch hood. To the left of the door is one metal casement window, and to the right are two more metal casement windows, all set beneath segmental arches. The first floor has five metal casement windows. The roof is gabled, with internal end stacks and a ridge stack positioned to the right of centre. At the rear, the view is obscured by an early 19th-century brick outshut that extends to the eaves and is one storey high, featuring a dormer attic. The outshut has a pantiled roof with a door and two ground floor windows, along with two low-pitched gabled dormers. Additionally, there is a thatched dormer on the main roof slope, which includes a three-light casement window.
