Description

Stump Cross is a medieval structure that traditionally marks the site of a battle from 1381. It has been relocated about half a mile further north. The cross features a square stone base with a socket that holds the stump of the former shaft. It is also referenced in relation to Norwich Road on the east side and is scheduled as an ancient monument.
