Description

Monument Cottage is a building dating from around 1790. It is constructed of brick and has been limewashed, featuring a single storey and a pantile roof. The eaves have a toothed bond design. The entrance door has a flush frame, with a wood mullion casement window to the right and a blank panel to the left. There are end chimneys that include drip bands and capping. This building was formerly known as Toll Cottage. Monument Cottage, along with Thatched Cottage, forms a group of buildings.
