Description
Paston College is a school building that was constructed in 1766 and later extended in the 19th century. The building features a rectangular plan and faces south towards a grassed area.
The exterior is three storeys high and made of red brick, topped with a hipped roof covered in pantiles. There are two long red-brick chimneystacks along the ridge. The facade has seven bays of windows; the five central bays have gauged-brick flat arches with six-over-six pane sash windows, while the outer bays have round arches with four-over-four pane round-arched sash windows. The outer bays on the second floor and the east bay on the first floor are blind. In the 19th century, a single-storey red-brick porch was added to the center of the front elevation. This porch has a pitched roof and features a carved stone coat of arms above a pair of 20th-century half-glazed doors.
