No. 4 Cross Street is an early 19th-century building constructed of brick, with some parts rendered and colorwashed. It features a black-glazed hipped pantiled roof with a central chimney stack. The facade facing New Street has three bays and includes sashes with glazing bars, although the central first-floor window is blocked. The building has bracketted eaves and a gabled wing on the north side.
