Description

No. 14 The Street is a house that is a fragment of a larger house built in the early to mid 17th century. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings. The north gable features one ground floor and one first floor three-light casement window, which has been reset within larger, earlier openings that have brick quoins and the springing of brick hood moulds. The brick end quoins are also notable. The original roof line has been cut down and replaced. The west elevation includes a prominent stack with brick quoins and eaves level kneelers, along with a first floor brick dressed opening that has a drip mould. The south elevation has two openings with drip moulds. The attached house at No. 15 The Street to the east is not of special interest.
