Description
No. 3 The Street is a house that may be a remnant of a larger structure from the 16th century. It features a red brick exterior dating from around 1700, with a roof covered in red pantiles. The ground floor has a plinth and two arched-headed casement windows. Above these windows is a platband, while the first floor has two straight-headed windows, all of which are 20th-century cross casements. The house has a dentil eaves cornice, kneelers, and a stack at the east end. The brick parapets were renewed in the mid-20th century, and there are two 20th-century doors. At the west side, there is a single-storey lean-to wing made of brick and pantiles. Inside, there is a ground floor roll-moulded spine beam without stops, close-set joists, and a bressumer beam over the fireplace. The house attached to the west is not of special interest.
