Description
Nos. 83 and 84 High Street are two shops dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of rendered and whitewashed brick. No. 83 features a plain tiled roof and has three storeys, including a dormer attic. The building is divided into two bays and has a 20th-century shopfront. The upper floors have two horned sash windows, each with one glazing bar, and there is a timber eaves cornice. The roof is gabled, and there is one pedimented dormer also with a horned sash window. No. 84 has a slate roof and is arranged in four bays, with a 20th-century shopfront as well. The upper windows are sashes with glazing bars, and the second floor windows have horns. It features an eaves cornice with brackets and a gabled roof.
