Description
No. 54 High Street is a shop with a flat above, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings and features a slate roof. The building has three storeys and is divided into three bays. The ground floor has a 20th-century plate glass shopfront. The first floor contains three horned sash windows with glazing bars, while the second floor has two original smaller sash windows with glazing bars, separated by a blind window. All windows are topped with red-brick skewback arches. The building is finished with a modillion timber eaves cornice and a gabled roof. The north gable wall has been rebuilt.
