Description

This memorial, located 10 meters south of the nave of the Church of St. James in Hockwold cum Wilton, dates from around 1700. It is made of ashlar stone and features an inscription that is now illegible. The headstone has a square shape with a coved set-back top, adorned with carved skulls on the shoulders. The inscription panel is framed by drapery folds, which are held by two cherubs, and above this is a central crown.
