Description
This is an 18th-century headstone made of hamstone ashlar, located approximately 4 metres south of the nave of The Church of St James. The upright slab stands about 1.4 metres high and features a head shaped with an hourglass, flanked by winged cherub's heads and scrolls. Below this, there is a rectangular frame carved with foliage surrounding an inscription that is so faint it can only be read in perfect lighting conditions.
