Description

This listing describes a pair of headstones located 9 meters west of the tower of the Church of St. Edmund on Emneth Church Road. The memorials are dedicated to Leonard Lownden and his wife, dated 1844, and John Hiam, dated 1793. They are made of limestone and feature a rectangular shape with a coved set-back top that encloses allegorical scenes above bowed circular inscription panels. The spaces within the design are filled with foliage and floral trail carving.
