Description
This is a headstone located 8 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St. John in Terrington St. John. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of limestone. The headstone is rectangular with a coved segmental set-back top. It features an illegible inscription panel in the shape of a cartouche. On each side, there are deeply undercut fleshy scrolls that have a vegetative design. Beneath the headstone, there are two winged cherubs, with an hourglass on the left and a skull on the right.
