Description

Nelson House is an 18th-century building located on the south side of Bridge Street. It is two stories tall with an attic and constructed from carstone and brick. The front is painted brick, featuring a battlemented parapet. The roof is tiled with a tumbled gable on the east side. There are two sash dormers with glazing bars and four sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor. The ground floor has 19th-century projecting shops with a wooden cornice. Nelson House, along with No 15, forms a group.
