Description
This is an 18th or early 19th century building on Bridge Street, constructed of carstone with pale brick dressings, including quoins, a floor band, and window cases. It is two storeys high. The roof has been altered and is now covered in machine tiles. A plinth runs along the base. The first floor has three flush frame windows, altered, some with centre glazing bars only, and two blank windows that are now painted panels. The ground floor features a central flush frame sash window with a segmental head, and shops flank each side, incorporating wooden cases, pilasters, end entrances, and fanlights. Numbers 38 to 44 (even) form a group.
