Description

These are two buildings, numbers 47 and 49, on Bridge Street. They likely date from the 17th century, although they have been altered since. The buildings are characterised by a steep roof covered in machine-laid pantiles. They are two storeys high and feature three flush-frame sash windows on the first floor, now with central glazing bars only. The exterior is brick, and the surfaces are limewashed. The shop fronts are from the 19th century; one is from the mid-19th century and the other from the early 19th century, both with wooden display cases. Number 49 has pilasters. Numbers 47 to 61 (odd numbers) form a notable group.
