Description
Nos 42 and 44 on Bridge Street are a pair of altered semi-detached houses from the 18th century, built of red brick with a mansard roof that now features machine-made pantiles and lacks dormers. The buildings are two stories tall and have two near-flush frame sash windows on the first floor, which include glazing bars and a blank center panel. On the ground floor, there is a remaining sash window on the left, with a pair of entrances in the center that have four-panel doors with glazed upper halves. To the right is a mid-19th century former shop window. The front is painted and includes a band at the first floor, along with a rendered plinth. Nos 38 to 44 (even) are part of a group.
