Description
No. 55 on Bridge Street is an early 18th-century, two-storey brick building that has been painted. It features two sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, along with a first-floor band. The roof is covered with pantiles, and there is a plinth at the base. The entrance has a wooden doorcase with a pulvinate frieze. To the left, there is a bow shop window topped with a dentil cornice, and to the right, there is another sash window on the ground floor. An arched way is located beneath the left side of the building. A fire insurance plaque can be found on the first floor. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 47 to 61 (odd).
