Description

Hill House, located at No 14 Bridge Street, is an 18th-century building constructed of pale brick. It has two storeys and attics, featuring a mansard roof covered with renewed pantiles and three sash dormers. The first floor has seven sash windows, complemented by a wooden eaves cornice and a stone band. The ground floor includes a modern shop front flanked by two sash windows with glazing bars. To the west, there is a smaller two-storey wing from the 19th century, which has one window and an old tiled roof. Hill House is part of a group that includes Nos 10 to 16 (even) and Nos 8 to 10 (consecutive) in the Market Place.
