Description
Terrington Court is a house with Tudor origins that was rebuilt in 1810. It features partly rendered brick with gault brick dressings and a slate roof, designed in a Jacobean style. The east-facing facade has two storeys and consists of five gables, with the north and south gables being taller. Each of these gables has a 5-light transomed mullioned casement window on both floors. There is a square porch offset to the left, supported by square brick piers, with a mullioned window above it and a quatrefoil parapet. The gable roofs slope back to the main gabled range, which has three tall double-flued chimneys along the ridge.
To the north, there is a 1½ storey mid-19th century extension made of brick with a slate roof. A glazed conservatory obscures the ground floor of this extension, while above it are two gabled through-eaves dormers with 3-light casements. An internal stack is located on the north gable. The forecourt wall extends west to the road and returns to the south. This raised wall is plastered and rusticated, featuring a pedimented porch supported by Tuscan columns and pilasters, which connects to the house via a covered passage.
