Description

This is a late 18th-century public house, now used as a domestic residence, located on the north side of Surrey Street in Wiggenhall St. German's. The building is constructed of brick, with a colourwashed front, and has a roof covered with a mix of pantiles and plain tiles. It is one storey high with an attic. The 20th century introduced a central entrance, flanked on the right and left by one late 19th-century sash window. The roof is gabled, with two sloping dormers and casement windows. A string course runs along the east gable eaves line. It is included on the heritage register for its group value.
