Description
Marsh Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid-18th century. It features rendered colourwashed brick and a black glazed pantiled roof. The building is two stories high and has three bays. On the ground floor, there are two three-light segmental arched tripartite sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has three single sash windows with glazing bars.
A central porch, dating from around 1800, includes simplified pilaster strips, a moulded cornice, and a parapet. The porch also has a six-panel raised and fielded door with a moulded architrave. The farmhouse has a projecting brick cornice, coped parapet gables, and a central axial stack along with one stack at the north end. The south gable features brick tumbling. There is a single-storey 'L'-plan addition on the north side and a two-pile brick service wing at the rear, positioned at right angles to the main building.
