Description
Old Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 17th century and later. It features colourwashed brick in English bond for the early parts and has corrugated tile roofs. The building is arranged in an L shape with an early double-pile addition to the west. It has two storeys and a five-bay south facade that includes 19th-century plate glass sash windows with horns.
The central porch, also from the 19th century, is two storeys high and has a glazed front door along with a sash window. This porch is adorned with stucco ashlaring and a moulded pediment, and it has curved gables. The windows and door are topped with rectangular hood moulds that showcase a variety of label stop mouldings. Most of the curved gables are from the 19th century, except for the north-facing gable, which retains its original brickwork. This gable end features two platbands, with the lower one being ovolo-moulded. The farmhouse has a gable-end stack and an off-centre axial stack on the main wing, along with various other stacks at the rear. There are also later additions to the building.
