Description
West Lodge is a lodge house built around 1790 by Samuel Wyatt, located in Holkham Park. It is constructed of gault brick and features a hipped slate roof. The building has two storeys and includes an octagonal wing on the north side with a central chimney stack. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, although some openings are blank. There are gauged brick arches above the openings and a plain brick band at the first floor level. The entrance door, located on the north side, has six panels and is topped with a pedimented portico supported by Doric columns that lack bases. On the east side, there is a blank pedimented brick projection. The lodge also has a moulded eaves course and a lower wing to the south with casements and sashes. Additionally, there is a coped brick boundary wall on the west side.
