Description
Church Lodge is a house built in 1784 by Samuel Wyatt. It is constructed of gault brick and features slated roofs. The building has two storeys and a T-shaped plan, with small single-storey side wings that have pedimented gables. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and there are cambered and rubbed brick arches above the openings. A moulded brick eaves course adds detail to the roofline. The eastern end of the building is polygonal and includes a doorway with a plain timber doorcase, while there is a blank window opening on the first floor. Below the first-floor windows, there are recessed brick panels, and a plain brick string course runs at first-floor level. The house has two chimney stacks and wide eaves overhangs.
