Description
This building, located at 34 King Street in Great Yarmouth, is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is part of a larger group of buildings that were divided in the 1880s and was restored in 1987. The exterior features stuccoed and color-washed brick that is scored to imitate ashlar, topped with a slate roof. The house has two storeys and a dormer attic, with a two-window range.
The entrance includes a five-panelled door, which is not in its original position, located to the right under a hood supported by a solid concave bracket. To the left of the door are two 6/6 horned sash windows from 1987, with two similar sash windows on the first floor. The gabled roof is continuous with the adjacent No. 33, and there is one segmental dormer fitted with a 20th-century casement.
Inside, the staircase is from the late 20th century. The rear room features a deep fireplace with concave sides, which formerly had a winder staircase to its right.
