Description

Shariot Cottage is an early 18th-century house located on Pitt Road in Hemsby. It is built of brick and features a pantiled roof. The cottage has one storey and a dormer attic. The central entrance consists of a panelled door, which is flanked by a sash window on each side, both having glazing bars. The roof is a bell-based Mansard style, with two sloping dormers that contain casement windows. The gable ends are supported by kneelers and exhibit tumbling, along with a notable use of burnt headers. There is a platband at the eaves lines, and an internal stack is present on the east gable.
