Description

The remains of a cross shaft, likely dating from the early 14th century, are located on the north side of Yarmouth Road in Hemsby. The structure is made of limestone and features a square socket stone that is chamfered to an octagonal shape. The shaft is square and truncated, with one recessed punch on each side that contains relief carvings of the four Evangelists.
