Description

Blackwater Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage constructed of colourwashed brick, with some areas rendered. It features a steeply-pitched roof that is thatched with reeds. The building has one storey and an attic, with a parapetted west gable. An off-centre chimney stack has twin diagonally-set shafts that have been rebuilt. There are two sash windows with glazing bars, and a segmental-headed entrance door located opposite the chimney stack. Additionally, the west gable has two casement windows with leaded glazing and an added raking brick buttress.
