Description

River Farmhouse is an 18th-century building, possibly with an earlier core. It is constructed of red brick and features a steeply-pitched pantile roof. The house has two storeys and a T-shaped plan. The ground floor has casement windows with segmental heads. The gables are parapetted and have brick tumbling, along with plain string courses. There are chimney stacks at the east and west gables, as well as an off-centre stack in the south wing. Additionally, there is a gabled one-storey extension on the west side and a lean-to on the north side.
