Description

The ruin of the Church of St. Andrew is a 15th-century structure that was formerly a parish church. It is built of flint with ashlar and brick dressings. The remains include a tower and fragments of the nave wall. The south-west porch tower consists of three unbuttressed stages, featuring arched entrances on the south and north sides. The tower has a two-light ringing chamber and belfry stage windows that sit under super arches. A string course decorated with fleurons runs below the embattled knapped flint parapet, which is adorned with cusped arcading. The south-east nave window is composed of two ogee lights that support a vesica.
