Description

Homestead is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the 18th century and additions made in 1880. It features colourwashed brick and pantiled roofs. The northern section has two storeys and an attic, while the southern section, rebuilt in 1880, also has two storeys. The east elevation is notable for its mock timber framing and 19th-century sash windows. The north side has a steeply pitched roof with partly external gable stacks, and on the west side, there is one surviving two-light timber cross casement; other details are from the 19th century. The north range includes two sloping dormers.
