Description
Witton Green Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick, featuring a steeply pitched shingled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a four-window range that has widely spaced openings, all fitted with 20th-century four-light casement windows. The entrance door is off-centre and is framed by a moulded timber surround, topped with a later canopy. The door itself is a six-panel design, partially glazed.
An oval window is set in a rectangular recess at first floor level within the chimney bay. The gables are parapeted and include moulded brick kneelers, with the west gable showcasing a curved apex. Brick plat bands adorn the gables. There is an off-centre axial stack that is not directly opposite the entrance, along with an internal stack at the east gable. Additionally, there are two unglazed slatted windows at the west end and 2 and 3-light casements in the gables.
