4/23 Stables 40m. west of Buckinghamshire Arms

GV II

Stable range, now store. C18. Red brick with pantiled roof. Two storeys. Symmetrical facade to east: ground floor has two doorways flanked by restored cross-windows; ledged and boarded doors with moulded architraves to frames. Gauged skewback arches over openings, brickwork rebuilt around left-hand window, arch removed. Segmental arch over left-hand door. Above each ground floor opening, a square honeycomb brick vent to hayloft. Moulded brick eaves cornice. Shaped north and south gables with first floor door openings. Catslide roof over lean-to on rear.
