Description
These are a pair of cottages located immediately south-east of Blickling Hall, dating from the 17th century and later. They are constructed from colourwashed brick on a tarred plinth and feature a steeply-pitched roof made of smut pantiles, which is hipped at both the north and south ends. The cottages are 1½ storeys high.
No. 10 has a door on the left side with two large raised and fielded panels, and a 3-light segmental-headed casement window set in a square-headed recess. There is a gabled attic dormer with a 2-light casement. The gables are parapeted, and there is a large axial chimney stack that is off-centre to the north.
The later range at the south end has a hipped roof. No. 9 features two 2-light casement windows on the ground floor, with a doorway positioned off-centre between them. It has a 4-panel door and a 3-light casement window to the left. There are also two gabled dormers with 2-light casements and a large axial stack that is off-centre to the north. At the rear, there are later extensions with altered openings and four pantiled wedge-dormers.
