Description
Oakland's Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse built of brick and topped with slate roofs. It has an L-shaped plan and features two storeys with a three-bay facade that includes sash windows with glazing bars set beneath skewback arches. The ground floor windows are taller than those above. A central front door is located under a semicircular arch and is adorned with a traceried fanlight, although it has been replaced with a 20th-century two-light glazed door. The farmhouse has projecting eaves supported by paired shaped brackets, hipped roofs, and three chimney stacks. Inside, the original staircase remains, along with raised and fielded panelled doors.
