Description
Point House is a house built around 1830, constructed of brick and topped with a slate roof. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high. The northeast face features two bays; one bay is blind, while the other has a sash window with glazing bars and a wider later double sash window, also with glazing bars. There is a later, slightly recessed two-storey side extension that has a pantiled roof. Other elevations include single bays of sash windows with glazing bars set beneath skewback arches. The entrance is framed by a Doric doorcase with fluted pilasters, and there are clasping pilasters with simple moulded capitals and plinths that have chamfered stone coping. The roof is hipped with a central stack. The building has group value with nearby structures at 7/26 and 7/30.
