Description

The icehouse, located 280 metres west of Eccles Hall, is a disused structure from the late 18th century. It is built of brick, featuring straight gault brick entrance walls with coping that lead to a short passage. This passage opens into the interior, which has an inverted flat-bottomed cone shape made of header bond brickwork. Above this, there is an octagonal groin vault.
