Description
Eccles Hall is a house that has been converted into a school, dating from around 1700. It is constructed of whitewashed brick and features slate roofs. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in seven bays, with the central three bays having a rebated design. There is an additional early 18th-century bay on the left side. The structure has a brick plinth and a central door located behind a 20th-century greenhouse. Each bay is fitted with sash windows that have glazing bars and are set under gauged skewback arches. A moulded brick string course runs along the first and second storeys. The central section has a returned parapet with plain rebated panels situated between the shaped gables of the flanking bays. The gables also feature a string course and sash windows that retain their glazing bars. The roofs are gabled, with a central shallow pitched gabled dormer. A large 19th-century dentilled ridge stack is present, and the rear of the building also showcases shaped gables along with a two-storey late 19th-century addition.
