Description
The building located at the corner of Mill Road and Chapel Street consists of two dwellings that date from the 15th to the 18th century and later. It features a rendered timber frame, colourwashed brick, and rendered clay lump, topped with thatched and pantile roofs. The main block is one storey with an attic and has a parapetted gable on the north facade, which displays the initials H.D. formed with metal tie-ends. There is a plain platband, a 5-light mullion and transom window, and one 2-light casement window in the gable. To the east, there are lower double-pile extensions. The facade facing Mill Road includes one 19th-century window with glazing bars, a pair of garage doors, and two gabled dormers with 2-light casement windows. Additionally, there is a side addition of two storeys featuring two sash windows with glazing bars and two axial stacks.
