Description

Tetherdown is an early 19th-century house located on the north side of Shipdham New Road. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings and features a gault brick facade. The building has a slate and pantile roof and stands two storeys high. The symmetrical three-bay facade includes sash windows with glazing bars set beneath skewback arches. There is a plain central doorcase topped with a shallow flat hood supported by moulded brackets. The roof is hipped, and there is a continuous outshut at the rear, which is covered by a catslide roof. At the rear wall of the main block, there are two chimney stacks.
