Description
Shipdham Manor House, formerly known as Dean House, is a late 18th-century home for the elderly located on Chapel Street in Shipdham. The building is constructed of brick and features black and red pantile roofs. The main block has two storeys and consists of five bays of sash windows with glazing bars, all set beneath skewback arches. The central entrance includes a raised and fielded panelled door topped by a traceried semicircular fanlight, which is framed by a rubbed brick arch of two orders. There are gable-end stacks, and the lower flanking blocks include a single-storey section to the east and a two-storey section to the west, each featuring a semicircular headed window with glazing bars. Additionally, there are service wings and outbuildings located at the rear.
